On 17 June, the Malta Business Bureau, in collaboration with industry experts from Altern Limited, organised a full-day training session for local manufacturing companies focusing on energy efficiency and energy management. In total, 24 industry representatives gained practical knowledge and insights on improving energy performance within their operations.
The training was based on the EcoSMEnergy Voluntary Code of Conduct, providing participants with a structured framework to apply key energy management principles in a practical business context. Through interactive discussions and hands-on workshops, participants explored how to identify energy-saving opportunities and improve resource efficiency within their organisations.
The session combined expert guidance with practical tools, helping companies strengthen their internal energy management practices and support continuous improvement in energy performance. Feedback from participants was highly positive, particularly regarding the relevance and applicability of the content to day-to-day operations.
The Malta Business Bureau will continue to support manufacturing SMEs through additional training activities later this year, as part of the EcoSMEnergy project, which aims to help businesses reduce energy consumption, lower operational costs and identify opportunities for further efficiency improvements.
