Knowledge transfer and skills development are key elements of the EcoSMEnergy project. Targeted training sessions, workshops, and support measures are to help Business Support Organisations (BSOs), Energy Auditors and SMEs understand and implement energy efficiency measures.

In order to cater for the training needs of the two main target groups, different trainings are organised.

On one hand there will be training for BSOs and energy auditors in so-called “Train the Trainers” workshops, and on the other there will be dedicated training sessions for SMEs.

SMEs wanting to engage actively in energy monitoring will be offered access to a dedicated Energy Management System (EnMS) Platform.

Besides, they will have free access to the Impawatt platform and the Energy Efficiency Hub for SMEs.

The Impawatt platform provides more than 200 information and training materials related to energy efficiency and renewable energy. The platform also includes an energy monitoring section and offers SMEs a practical, step-by-step approach to reducing energy consumption and costs while boosting sustainability.

The Energy Efficiency Hub for SMEs gathers an overview on 18 EU-funded energy efficiency projects including project resources, tools, and guidance  and grows continuously.

The EU LIFE-funded EcoSMEnergy project has launched a Voluntary Code of Conduct (VCC) Toolkit for SMEs. It is a practical and simplified framework designed to help businesses improve their energy efficiency on a voluntary basis.

Built around a clear four-step approach, the toolkit guides SMEs in developing energy policies, setting performance targets, implementing action plans, and continuously monitoring and improving their energy use.

The report English version of the adapted IMPAWATT outlines the software implementation and key enhancements introduced to the platform under the project. The adapted IMPAWATT portal has been further developed to improve usability, strengthen monitoring capabilities and better respond to the needs of targeted industrial sectors.

The improved version of the Impawatt portal is an important step in making energy management and training tools more accessible, practical and sector-oriented for SMEs across Europe.

The document describes the Energy Management Platform’s (EMP)
module for industries
. Throughout the EcoSMEnergy project, the EMP has been improved with a module designed for industrial applications and integrates it in the existing Management Review module.

This new module will support a continuous monitoring of energy consumption across selected industries, analyze key performance indicators, and provide benchmarks to drive ongoing, systematic reductions in energy use in accordance with ISO 50001.
